Bonding glass - Withstanding the stresses of steam sterilisation
Adhäsion - Kleben & Dichten, 2009, 53(4), 28-32
Modern laboratory practice in the biotechnology, medical and biomedical technology industries requires the use of glass components with reproducible shapes, which cannot currently be produced using standard glass melting processes. One possible solution to the problem is adhesive bonding, as this allows for the production of components with complex shapes. However, it is essential that the bonds can withstand sterilisation.
