Chemical process optimization with guaranteed robustness of nonlinear dynamics characteristics

We present an approach to nonlinear dynamics integrated optimal design which allows to guarantee parametric robustness with respect to loss of stability and with respect to a violation of output/state variable constraints. This approach is based on normal vectors on manifolds of critical points which allow to incorporate constraints on the parametric distance to the locally closest manifold of critical points into process optimization.
