CO2 Separation via the Oxyfuel Process with O2-Transport Membranes in Coal Power Plants
In: Detlef Stolten and Viktor Scherer (Eds.): Efficient Carbon Capture for Coal Power Plants, Wiley-VCH Verlag, 2011, 405-430
Abstract:
The membrane based oxyfuel power plant process is considered to be the most energy efficient CCS technology, but its efficiency strongly depends on the process integration of the membrane unit. Two different ways of membrane integration are presented in detail and the results on process parameters are discussed. Moreover several coal and gas fired process concepts and ways towards the realization of the membrane based oxyfuel technology are reviewed.
