Abstract:
COGents is a EC-funded IST project aimed at developing an agent-based architecture for numerical simulation, with a concrete implementation in the process simulation domain relying on the CAPE-OPEN interoperability standard, a result of five years of joint development by the process modeling community. The COGents architecture will enable innovative application service provision in numerical simulation. The project, which lasts two years (April 2002-March 2004), will propose and implement a framework, will design the OntoCAPE domain ontology of modelling knowledge, and will demonstrate its business benefits through two realistic case studies.
