ZeroChemUFRO - Zero Chemical UF/RO System for Desalination

Development of the next generation zero chemical consuming UF/RO water treatment system for production of drinking and industrial water from brackish waters

The aim of this study is to optimize a pretreatment system for seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO), consisting of a combination of coagulation and UF. In this context the main focus will be on reduction of chemical consumption in order to save costs, reduce environmental impact and enhance public acceptance of SWRO.
