Rigorous optimization of distillation processes for azeotropic milticomponent mixtures

In this project, robust and efficient optimization strategies for the mixed-integer optimization of distillation processes for multicomponent mixtures are developed. Both azeotropic homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures are considered. The objective functions include capital as well as operating costs.
