History

This site provides you a short overview of the last conferences on Organic Solvent Nanofiltration in the past.

Since 2006, it is kind of tradition that a conference regarding the topic of Organic Solvent Nanofiltration takes place either in Leuven, Belgium, or in London, UK. On these occasions, researchers and process engineers were able to exchange ideas and experiences referring to Organic Solvent Nanofiltration. Now, for the first time the RWTH Aachen University gets the opportunity to organize this conference and we are absolutely proud of and looking forward to it.

To get a better knowledge what these conferences are and were about, you can read the following part of the history which describes the former conferences and its developments.

The first one took place at the University of Leuven, Belgium, in the year 2006 with reference to the topic Membranes in Solvent Filtration. It was organized by VITO NV and KULeuven. The second conference in 2008 was organized as the XXV Summer School of the European Membrane Society within the frame of the EU Euromembranes. It was held again in Leuven and took a closer look at the Solvent Resistant Membranes. It created the basis for the third one under the title 3rd International Conference of Organic Solvent Nanofiltration, taking place in London in 2010 at the Imperial College.

All conferences presented a big number of interesting talks and presentations given by experts that were useful to the research in future. The organization done by the professors was excellent at each conference, so that every conference had the opportunity to take place under the best conditions.

We hope that you will enjoy the 4th International Conference on Organic Solvent Nanofiltration in Aachen in March 2013 dealing with the topic of Organic Solvent Nanofiltration that will follow the ideas of the former conferences in Leuven and London.
