AVT inspires students for process engineering
Last month, Aachen Process Engineering presented itself to students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and other interested parties as part of the “Berufsfeldeinfürung”.
On the first day of the career introduction, the AVT professors explained in a well-attended lecture in the Audimax what process engineering is, as well as the general conditions of process engineering studies and career prospects. To make process engineering tangible, delicious vegan chocolate ice cream was made with liquid nitrogen in a live experiment. This year, the event was again held completely in presence, so students were able to network with process engineering staff members on site while tasting the ice cream after the event.
Institute and laboratory tours as well as the barbecue evening on the following Tuesday also met with great interest. Here, the students were able to get to know the AVT laboratories, talk to AVT employees and exchange information about studies and research at AVT.
