The AVT keeps expanding:
Starting on the 1st of may 2020, Dr. Anna Mechler was appointed to a new professorship in Electrochemical Reaction Engineering (AVT.ERT). This is possible due to a generous donation from our industrial partner Covestro, financing the professorship for five years.
The professorship Electrochemical Reaction Engineering is situated between the interface of application oriented fundamental research and process developement. The research focus will be on understanding of electrocatalysts at reaction conditions relevant in technical applications. The objective is to optimize catalyst materials for technical applications. To tackle this task, our new professor will have resources within the Competence Center of Industrial Electrochemistry (ELECTRA). The professorship will be bridging the gap between research activities at RWTH Aachen University and at Forschungszentrum Jülich. At Forschungszentrum Julich, the professorship may also be continued after 2025.
