In this year's student competition EURECHA (European Committee for the Use of Computers in Chemical Engineering Education), the AVT team took first place.
Congratulations to Lukas Thiel, Steffen Fahr and Carl Sengoba who won with their design for a mobile COVID-19 vaccine production for people in remote areas in developing countries.
The team, led by Kaan Karacasulu (AVT.SVT), Prof. Kosan Roh (former AVT.SVT) and Dr. Nina Ihling (AVT.BioVT) developed a low-cost, container-based solution for producing an mRNA-based vaccine against COVID-19.
Their results were presented at the ESCAPE-31 conference in Istanbul, Turkey, as part of the CAPE Forum.
