Friedrich Wilhelm Award 2021
Dr.-Ing. Dominik Bongartz, group leader at the Chair for Process Systems Engineering (AVT.SVT), has received the Friedrich Wilhelm Award of RWTH for his doctoral thesis entitled “Deterministic Global Flowsheet Optimization for the Design of Energy Conversion Processes”. In his thesis, he developed methods for accelerating global optimization of process flowsheets and applied them to the design of energy conversion processes such as Power-to-Fuel processes for producing fuels from renewable electricity.
The award is sponsored by the Friedrich Wilhelm Foundation and is given to students and young scientists of all departments of RWTH for outstanding Master’s theses, doctoral theses and habiliations.
