Marcel Mann awarded with the DECHEMA Industrial Bioprocess Award

Dr. rer. nat. Marcel Mann, Junior research group leader at the Chair of Biochemical Engineering (AVT.BioVT), was awarded the DECHEMA Industrial Bioprocess Award. The Award was handed out for his Dissertation with the title Online Monitoring Devices for Lab Scale Synthesis Gas Fermentation Using the Model Acetogen Clostridium ljungdahlii. In his work, he developed different techniques that can be applied for the online monitoring and optimization of microbial fermentation processes that convert CO₂, CO and H₂.

The award is handed out every year to one candidate at the so-called “Himmelfahrstagung”, the most important conference for bioprocess engineering in Germany.
