re.solution develops a chemical recycling process for reprocessing polyester-containing end-of-life textiles. The start-up idea is to enable a true circular economy for textiles with their innovative process technology. The team members Marcel Gausmann (AVT.FVT) and Amrei Becker (ITA) developed their business plan with Karl H. Jacquemont (AC Consult) and Hendrik Winckler (WIN). Together they have the ambition to bring the chemical recycling of textiles from the AVT lab to industrial reality and welcome the 5000€ prize money that will accelerate the company's founding.

GreenCOre -Green CO from renewables reflects the intensive collaboration between Forschungszentrum Jülich and RWTH Aachen University. The GreenCOre-team members Severin Foit (FZJ), Markus Nohl (FZJ), and Dana Kaubitzsch (AVT.ERT) developed their business plan together with Karl Friedrich Block (Block Develop GmbH). The name says it all; the goal is to produce sustainable CO from CO2 independently of coal and natural gas. To enable the conversion of CO2 to CO, the team is developing a unique high-temperature electrolysis plant that will be powered by renewable electricity. The CO produced in this way can be found in many areas of everyday life, such as buildings, smartphone covers, and even soccer shoes.
