Stepan Sibirtsev awarded the “GVT-Project of the Year 2022"
Stepan Sibirtsev, research associate at the Chair of Fluid Process Engineering (AVT.FVT), was awarded the “GVT-Project of the Year 2022" by the “Forschungs-Gesellschaft Verfahrens-Technik e.V. (GVT)”. The award was given for the outstanding results and quality of work within the research project "Dispergier- und Koaleszierphänomene in Zentrifugalpumpen (DisKoPump)" (engl. "Dispersion and Coalescence Phenomena in Centrifugal Pumps"). Within the scope of this cooperation project with the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, a methodology for predicting the dispersion effect of centrifugal pumps was developed. By means of this methodology, it is now possible to use centrifugal pumps as a single-unit solution for simultaneous conveying and dispersing.
The award is given annually by the GVT to one research project processed within the framework of the program for the promotion of the “Industrielle Gemeinschaftsforschung (IGF)”.
