AVT.SVT offers the possibility to interested students of Computational Engineering Science, Chemical Engineering (Verfahrenstechnik), and Energy Engineering (Energietechnik) to perform their Master's thesis in collaboration with the ChemEngAI group of Prof. Artur Schweidtmann at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). The student can be physically located in either AVT.SVT or in the ChemEngAI lab.

Located between Rotterdam and The Hague, Delft itself is a student city, surrounded by canals. Its historic centre dates back to medieval times and was once the seat of the Royal House of Orange. The university is close to the beach in The Hague (approximately 45 min by public transport). postgraduate ones in design, engineering and science. Whilst all Masters’ degrees are taught in English, most undergraduate-level programmes are taught in Dutch.
Topic:
The topic of the master thesis will be related to Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data mining, sustainable process design, or Process Systems Engineering with applications in chemical engineering. All works will be related to sustainable or circular process developments. The master thesis usually requires a background in Python programming.
