Energy efficient membrane porcesses display an emerging market over the last decades. One big field in application is water and waste water treatment. Often, nanofiltration membranes are used to remove pollutants. Currently, ceveral production techniques are used for nanofiltration membranes using different support structures.

This project aims to investigate the support's geometric influence during membrane fabrication. Further, relevant parameters for efficient coating are to be defined. This includes:

  • Membrane production of different support structures
  • Characterization of the produced membranes
  • Evaluation of different method's results

Students should bring:

  • Interest in practical work within a research environment
  • High motivation to work autonomously
  • Fun to try something new
