Catalytic activation of metal structures for the use in (electro-) chemical reactors

We produce metallic static mixers for the application in membrane reactors, which are stable in a wide range of temperature and chemical conditions. They induce secondary flow patterns in the reactor and thus improve heat and mass transfer. In a successing step, the mixers will be catalytically activated by applying a highly porous coating. This will be conducted in a synthesis oven in several treatment steps. This work will put the oven into operation and identify the main influences on the synthesis.

Your task will be:

  • Implementation of the synthesis oven
  • Identification and characterization of the main influences on the synthesis
