In the AVT.Foyer, AVT offers regional visual artists the opportunity to present their works. The exhibitions take place every 6 months. The generous museum ambiance of the AVT.foyer leaves plenty of room and represents a beautiful opportunity for the Aachen cultural scene. The AVT would like to promote the exchange between science and art and encourage discourse. Those interested are cordially invited to take part in the vernissages and to visit the current exhibitions between 8 am - 6 pm during the opening hours.

Michaela Lawtoo - ICONES

Michaela Lawtoo takes up the original artistic meaning of eikone (image or likeness). The transparent, fragile and luminous exhibits presented in this exhibition reveal human likenesses that are not only external but also internal, not only seen but also felt. Icones gives the fragility of the human soul an aesthetic form that reflects the precarious times in which we currently live.

We continue our art exhibition series in FOYER - with another great artist: Karl von Monschau

Karl von Monschau shows concrete art that ties in with the era of Kasimir Malevich (from 1915). Dr. Wolfgang Becker will give us a very interesting introduction to this exciting topic through his expertise. Together with Willy Gallinowski, Karl von Monschau created the “first official art automat in Germany” in 1979/1980, which they first presented to a broader public in the Neue Galerie and in 1982 at the Documenta 7 in front of the Fridericianum in Kassel.

Great news! Finally, we can continue our art exhibition series in the FOYER – with a great artist: Dieter Nusbaum www.nusbaumart.de.

Dieter Nusbaum is well known in European cities and galleries even as far as Singapore. He works with print, graphics, photography, and painting in a multi-layered commission, resulting in fascinating and readable works.

We are pleased to invite you to the Vernissage at NGP2 on Friday, Sep. 16th, 2022 at 06:00 pm.
